This wedding had it all. An amazing background at Harrison Hot Springs Resort in the mountains and a bride and groom surrounded by so much love.

Lisa is a STUNNING bride. For her, their entire wedding was focused on the joining of two families. When we met for wine to go over her day, she stressed so many times the importance of this being a family affair. How important their kids were to them, and most importantly how excited she was to marry Derek. Watching her son walk her down the aisle had everyone in tears….he looked SO proud to be handing his Mom over to Derek.

The photos of Lisa and Derek was nothing short of adventurous. Lisa is my kinda girl! She loves getting all dressed up and focuses on the fancy details, but she HAPPILY climbed out on a log, surrounded by mud and the hot springs JUST to get that one photo of them on the log! It was a little touch and go at one point with the two of them balancing over the water, but thankfully a nearby onlooker helped Lisa off the log without any mud mishaps!! They live for adventure (as you can see if you creep her facebook page for photos of their honeymoon in Bora Bora!) and boldly goes after what she wants! I had the BEST time getting to know her and Derek and I wish I could do their wedding all over again! :)

Derek and Lisa, THANK YOU so much for having me as a part of your day. It meant the world to me, and I loved getting to meet your families and kids! You two have such a full life! :)

ppss. Lisa found me through one of my other equally amazing 2014 brides, and she was at the wedding too!! Laura snapped a photo of the 3 of us!! (I had a BLAST closing down the dance floor with wine with you two!! Can’t wait for your wedding now Shannon!!!! I have a feeling a repeat performance is due!)
